NGC6254
![](http://www.nicktonkin.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/11/ngc6254-1024x677.jpg)
Being Observed as NGC6254 This globular really looks asymmetric. Th central core appears to be offset slightly towards the SE. The transition between it and the NW side is a fairly straight border line about 1.6 arc/min long.
NGC4244, Caldwell 26
![](http://www.nicktonkin.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/11/Caldwell-26-1024x694.jpg)
This being observed as Caldwell 26 Frame rotated 252 degrees, North to the 8 o’clock. Very long and thin. You can make out the central core, which is almost stellar. With the transparency being so poor I cannot see any central dust lane, that is normally seen in images. Transparency starting to deteriorate after just 9 x 60sec subs in the stack.
NGC5195 and NGC5194
![](http://www.nicktonkin.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/11/NGC5195-5194-1-1024x692.jpg)
Observing this as NGC5195 & NGC5194 Frame rotation 252 degrees. North is to the 8 o’clock.
Trying to ignore the elephant in the room which is both of these galaxies classified as M51. This looks just like a barred spiral, with the bar orientated N/S. After 5 mins it looks like the lower case letter ‘e’ with the long tail curving its way towards NGC 5194. The core is bright and round.
NGC5194 . The core is not as bright as NGC5195’s . You can clearly see the two spiral arms winding their way around the core. If I wind up the histogram I can just make out the small galaxy IC4278 6.6 arc/min to the NE
I seem to have lost the image taken for the following two sessions.
NGC6210
Really trying to find objects where this wind isn’t affecting the scope. I think this is on the wrong side of the borderline. Started with 60 sec subs, but the wind is too obvious. Dropped to 5 secs, but image still very poor.
L8
Theophilus. In moments of steady seeing, I can see the maybe one level of terrace. The mountain peak in the centre is split into two with what looks like a valley running through it. There is a small impact crater to the 2 o’clock
