With the gate now hung, we had to remove part of the end wall to allow the gate to close.

You can’t beat a big digger to make light work of demolishing a wall. With that cleared the first foundation stones go in. Then it’s just a case of laying rock in a brick wall staggered fashion. You need to keep an eye on making sure the gate side edge is vertical otherwise the gate won’t close or your have a horrible gap.

And done. Well not quite. With a hose on the digger legs ripped off with a rock, we can’t move the tractor till that’s been fixed. Once that’s done, we can get some more rock that we dug up clearing the Meadow Field to finish the job.
